Helichrysum arenarium: A Lithuanian Treasure From Wild Habitat to Holistic Use
Sigita is a certified holistic aromatherapy specialist, small-scale distiller, educator, and nature lover. Her interest in aromatherapy began in 2004. In 2018, she was introduced to aromatic distillation using a copper alembic still. She immediately fell in love with the craft, and soon found herself in further studies and and building a more structured path in the field.
She received her primary aromatherapy certification from The School for Aromatic Studies (USA): Foundations of Aromatherapy (NAHA Level 1) and Aromatic Medicine Certificate Course (NAHA Level 3) and further enriched these programs with studies with other international schools.
Her training in hydrolat distillation and hydrolat-focused care with AromaGnosis (USA), Ann Harman (USA), and Marco Valussi (Italy).
Currently, Sigita serves as Board Member of the Lithuanian Association of Aromatherapists, contributes to its Communication Group, and was 2024 conference host, 2025 conference presenter, and panel discussion participant.
Sigita shares her knowledge and passion for aromatic distillation through her blog. Her goals are
1. Ensure people achieve high-quality hydrolats (and essential oils) with every distillation.
2. Promote responsible and effective use of resources, especially plants, water, fire and time.
3. Bring hydrolats into the spotlight, out of the shadow of essential oils.
4. Solidify the use of hydrolats within the aromatherapy community and enthusiasts.
